Last week Soroptimist International of Antioch held their annual fall boutique at the VFW HALL in Antioch. Tables and tables of crafts, snacks, and jewelry, were offered for sale. I bought some thank you gifts for friends who appreciate these sorts of gifts. There are two more Fall Boutiques on the EastCountyLive.com Community Calendar coming up.

Wind Surfing on W. Sherman Island Road

I was going to Rio Vista last Saturday for the Bass Derby. Road work delays on 160 forced me to rethink my plans & turn around. I made a right hand turn onto Sherman Island Rd., just north of the Antioch Bridge. I was shocked at how many "wind lovers" I saw out there (dozens). On the far left side you can see where wind swept waters wash over the road. Kind of like our own little Stinson Beach.
