The Jim Beam SMALL BATCH BOURBON NIGHT at the Allstar Sports Bar, in Antioch, was quite a hit. It started at 6:30 PM with a MAKERS MARK Manhattan and Prawn Appetizer with a couple of dipping sauces. Fred Noe, the great grandson of Jim Beam, entertained the dinner guests with a Kentucky accent and downhome humor as smooth as the bourbons we we're drinking. He seemed like the kind a fella you'd like do some serious sippin' and jawin' with on your back porch any day. We tasted KNOB CREEK, BASIL HAYDEN, BOOKERS, my personal favorite, and BAKERS bourbons. A piping hot bowl of New England CLAM CHOWDER followed by a tasty BAY SHRIMP CAESAR SALAD was served before a delicious cut of PRIME RIB was set down in front of me. The tour de force BREAD PUDDING came drizzled with what else but a BOURBON BUTTER sauce. The entire dinner was just $25 so I'm looking forward to a single malt Scotch night now HA!
