I started VETERANS DAY at the Senior Center in Pittsburg. City Councilman, Ben Johnson, gave me the "heads up on this" thanks Ben. Kiwanis put on a nice breakfast and I met some grizzled veterans (I felt like a kid in this group, tee hee!). This was my first visit to the Pittsburg Senior Center and this place looks great (I took the tour and got some photos), nice kitchen, library, computer room, and bingo hall? Nice.

I made it to Antioch just in time to see the Veterans Day Parade at 11AM. What a thrill this was! Veterans, motorcycles, floats and three bands! Antioch, Deer Valley and Pittsburg High School were all there. What a treat that is to see all these kids getting together on a holiday to do this tribute for our veterans.
