A little rain and hail wasn't going to slow this Bethel Island Opening Day Boat Boat Parade down. Starting at 12 noon this photographer headed for the covered deck of the Rusty Porthole Restaurant to view this years annual event. Judging from the party going on inside many others had the same idea.

Immediately following the parade I headed over to the warm confines, of the San Juaquin Yacht Club to watch the revelers tie-up and dry off. Yacht club members told me about the history of this converted riverboat to club house and everyone there couldn't have been any warmer to this photographer. Thanks to everyone!
