It was a too hot Saturday, for me, at ART, WINE & JAZZ FESTIVAL, in Brentwood, CA this year. Fortunately, there was some shade to be found in the park. The event is a tribute to local art, local wines and jazz. I don't know if the "committee" gives out awards to the merchants for "best use of theme" but Travis Credit Union gets my vote. They had about a dozen easels up, paper, and lots of paints & brushes for kids to use. The goal was to "make-a-free-painting" and display it on a wall for everyone to see, very nice. I talked to a few friends, took a few pictures and ended up in the wine pavillion. It's amazing to me how many local wines we have now. I can remember when there was zero and now we have more than a half a dozen. Looking at the wine made me thirsty for beer. Knowing that I had plenty of cold beer at home and a cool house to enjoy it in I left the poor artists to deal with the 106 degrees. Let's hope for a cooler day on Sunday. Have a Question?
