Welcome to our 2004 Flor do Oakley PHOTO GALLERY. The event was held July 18, 2004 at the Flor do Oakley Hall, in Oakley, CA. We missed the parade this year, car problems, but got there in plenty of time to say "hi" to many of the folks we met there last year. The "sopas" were excellent, the weather comfortable and the people as friendly as ever. This was the 77th Flor do Oakley. In keeping with the spirit and tradition of this event everyone is invited to attend. The history of this event dates back to the late 1200's. There was a famine going on in Portugal at the time and Queen Isabela sold her jewels to feed anyone that was hungry. In keeping with that tradition the Flor do Oakley opens it's doors to feed everyone who attends. You don't have to be Portuguese to attend and enjoy this "family reunion" event.
