It was race night at KIT & CABOODLE "the Hobby Store" in Oakley, CA. These "hobbyist" take their racing seriously. Six divisions run their cars inside on a clay track. Then it's to the pits, to change shocks, retune and recharge before the next race. Everyone has multiple cars and their own toolboxes and work in a well lit staging area. The races are FIVE minutes and the laps are counted electronically on a computer. The winner of the race is determined which driver get the most laps in. Three young, energetic, "will-be racers" watch the action and "right" any crashed cars right away. This is a complete hobby store radio-controlled helicopters and planes are for sale. Train sets and landscaping, buildings and people are scaled to create life-like train towns. Model cars and paints are available to finish the cars just the way you want it.
