It's May, the county fair, scheduled for this month, has been canceled. I can't remember the last year I didn't go. This is the time of year that I'm usually looking for Beer Fests and Free Music Concerts to go to! This is going to be a very different summer. A summer of change for all of us. I'm happy to say HARVEST PARK BOWL, Brentwood, and SMITHS LANDING, Antioch are both opening for takeout food service. I'm going to take my "tilt-a-whirl" ticket money this year and buy me some tasty takeout.
Editor's note. It happened again. A stranger came up to me and asked: "why did I stop mailing the SPOTLIGHT?" I asked them if they changed their email address and then the light went on. For years I had only one email address. Now it seems like I have to have three. My point is. You might want to subscribe again with a newer email address as a backup. I understand that 30% of the internet populace change emails every year. Also, thanks to everyone who opened this issue. It's humbling to know that people have been opening and clicking on something every week for 15 years! My goal for each issue is to give you a reward for opening. I know I'm NOT the reason you open this, I'm not that clever, it's for the event information and popular restaurant offerings posted here, I'm cool with that.
