I've Become A Foo-Foo Drinker |
|
As beer and wine costs soar it's easier to just order a $20 foo-foo cocktail. The more eggs, blender time, protein, and fruit the better.
I don't really have a favorite foo-foo drink. I prefer to look at a "signature cocktail menu" and choose my poison, whether I'm there at the bar with a friend or to have a meal. One is generally plenty.
Are you drinking more Foo-Foo cocktails than you used to? Send me a photo and what details you can remember. Maybe I'll publish it.
I'll start. The drink above is a Pisco Sour from Parada in Pleasant Hill. It's made with Barsol Pisco (similar to brandy), lemon juice, egg whites and is topped with bitters $15. I enjoyed it. I would order it again but one was plenty for that visit.
Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend. Me? I'm crying in my foo-foo drink because the summer concert series is winding down.
