The FAMILY ROOM at the Antioch Historical Society Museum

The museum has many rooms. One of them is the FAMILY ROOM. In it are artifacts from Antioch's founding families, the Stamm's, Beede's, Bidwell's, Fulton's and many more. There is no admission charge to visit. They do accept donations and you can join. Open Wed and Sat 1:00PM to 4:00PM. 1500 W.4th St. check it out. Volunteer some time and make it a better place.

I already know EastCountyLive.com has more GIANTS fans than A's fans. That said my expectations for the Giant's this season is not high and I think the A's will have the better season. I'm sure Sabean & Bochy think they have a competitive team but I'm not feeling it. But cigars, beer and warm weather is just around the corner and I'm happy about that. Another reason to visit downtown Antioch. We're fortunate to have such a nice place to walk around. I see beauty all over free. The area is well maintained, wildlife abounds, trains (if you are down there for any time at all) and maybe a big ship. I get exercise, photos and always meet some some nice folks. I think of it as cheap therapy.

Sunset From The Deck of the Lady Washington
A couple weeks ago I went on the "tall ship" Lady Washington and took this photo near sunset. I enjoyed going for a ride on her. Made you think about what life was like as a sailor or pirate back in the day. I even dusted off my MASTER & COMMANDER dvd the other day to help me remember the feeling. I know I am not that kind of adventurous. I'm more of the cabin cruiser adventure type guy.
